Key Responsibilities:
Electrical System Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components on marine vessels, including lighting, power distribution, navigation systems, and communication devices.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify faults, malfunctions, or potential issues in electrical systems.
Wiring and Cabling:
- Lay out and install wiring, cables, and conduits for new electrical systems or during upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Terminate and splice wires and cables, ensuring proper connections and insulation.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose electrical problems, malfunctions, or breakdowns in electrical systems and components.
- Analyze circuit diagrams and use testing equipment to identify faults and make necessary repairs or replacements.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations, guidelines, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and maritime electrical codes during all installations and repairs.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports detailing the status of electrical systems, completed tasks, and any recommendations for further action.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with other marine professionals to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other vessel components.

Qualifications:
- Relevant technical education or certification in marine electrical systems or a related field.
- Previous experience as a marine electrician or in a similar role, preferably within the marine industry.
- Knowledge of marine electrical systems, components, and their applications.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
